When deciding on what gloss level you want, it really just comes down to a personal preference, however you might want to consider what is easier to maintain, and that the cost can vary depending on the gloss level you choose. The matte finish is if you’re not a fan of a highly polished surface, honing your stone floors or countertops can achieve the perfect matte finish for you. It’s also a lower-maintenance finish, as it won’t scratch as easily and show every mark like highly polished surfaces do. The matte/honed finish is used in many homes, cafes, shops and other commercial flooring. The semi-gloss is probably our most popular choice as it still has great shine, but is easier to maintain than the high gloss. The glass mirror polished look (high gloss) is the head turning option for people who are after that wow factor and it lends itself to high end homes, offices and commercial hotel foyers. The reflective glass polished look is a rich high end finish which in turn requires better maintenance as it can be a bit more obvious when your floor is dirty or greasy – this small point is often totally outweighed by the completely stunning overall look.
